It is essential that all Press Attachés attend this briefing.5.9.6 Venue Media Centres (VMCs)Competition venuesThere will be VMCs at all competition venues with a help desk, press and photoworkrooms, food and beverage services and a lounge area.The VMC will open three hours before the start of competition and will remain openuntil four hours after competition has concluded.Press Operations will organise and run post-event media conferences. NPCs may hosttheir own media conferences in the venues in the three days prior to competition.NPCs must book these through the venue media conference team at the venue.Training venuesAt training venues there will be no dedicated working facilities for the media, but therewill be an area to watch training and to conduct interviews.Paralympic VillageThe VMC at the Paralympic Village, adjacent to the Guest Pass Office in the VillagePlaza, will offer the same services as a VMC at a competition venue. Venue PressOperations will manage the media guest pass requests for access to the Village Plazaand guest passes will be distributed from a dedicated media desk in the Guest PassOffice.There will be two media tours of the Paralympic Village, on the mornings of 25 and26 August 2012.
