5.2 Transport5.2.1 Paralympic Route Network (PRN)The Paralympic Route Network (PRN) is a network of roads linking all competition andofficial non-competition venues. The PRN will help to ensure that the Paralympic Familyis able to travel efficiently between venues and accommodation while also keeping therest of London and the UK moving. The core PRN will operate between 06:00 and00:00 midnight, while venue-specific routes will operate in accordance with theoperating days and hours of the particular venue that they serve.PRN measures inclu<strong>de</strong> parking restrictions, modified traffic signals, restricted turns andtemporary Games Lanes. The Alternative Paralympic Route Network (APRN) also existsfor the time when sections of the PRN are being used for Paralympic road eventcompetitions.Most of the PRN is in London, where the majority of the competition venues arelocated. However, some PRN routes operate close to other venues around the UK,such as Weymouth and Portland.The appendices contain a map with an overview of the PRN and this is current as ofJuly 2011. Some routes are currently un<strong>de</strong>r review and the map is subject to changefollowing further planning that has and will be carried out. An updated PRN overviewmap will be provi<strong>de</strong>d once all routes have been confirmed.Games Lanes are temporary measures operating on the busiest parts of the PRN andwill be <strong>de</strong>dicated to official Games vehicles and emergency vehicles only.The journey times for the transport system for athletes and NPC team officials (TA)using PRN routes will be released at a later stage to assist NPCs with their planningfor the Games.5.2.2 Transport system for athletes and NPC team officials (TA)The TA bus system will provi<strong>de</strong> the following transport services for accredited athletesand NPC team officials, including their accompanying baggage and sport equipment:1.
