Suppliers and forwarding agents, without thecorrect security protocols, can deliver at the MTA based on pre-advice to theVillage/Venue Logistics Manager (VLM) and confirmation to the VLM that the item inquestion is of an urgent nature. The item must be less than one pallet and be no morethan ten cartons in size.3.4.3.3 Courier deliveries to a venue/VillageUPS is the official Express Delivery Supporter for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.All courier deliveries inside the Villages will be distributed by UPS to the NPC officesor, if no such office exists, then the delivery will be made to the NPC Services Centreand kept secure until collected by the NPC representative.During lockdown, courier operators will be permitted to enter the venues or Villages,provided they meet the requirements under ‘brand ambushing’ and meet all securityprotocols in effect in order to access a Village during lockdown.Please note that if the courier operator does not meet these requirements, then deliverymay be made to the Logistics compound where the recipient of the package will becontacted to pick up and sign for the package. Alternatively, packages may bedelivered to the following UPS address in London.
