Accreditation and search regimes will be completedon every entry and re-entry to the Villages.5.5.4 Security at competition venuesEach venue is divi<strong>de</strong>d into security zones insi<strong>de</strong> and outsi<strong>de</strong> the secure perimeter thathave distinctive operations and functions. The zones will each comprise an integratedsecurity system comprising elements such as security fencing and barriers, perimeterintrusion systems, security lighting, CCTV, hostile-vehicle mitigation, and police andsecurity patrols as appropriate.It will also inclu<strong>de</strong> gates, electronic access control points and appropriate measuresfor other interfacing elements such as waterways. Vehicle Permit Checkpoints (VPC),Vehicle Screening Areas (VSA) and Pe<strong>de</strong>strian Screening Areas (PSA) will feature inthe physical systems at each venue. Displaying the appropriate permit or accreditationwill be required to access these areas.Specific requirements for the physical security for each venue are <strong>de</strong>veloped byLOCOG Security in partnership with the law enforcement agencies.For athletes and NPC team officials, entry to venues will be controlled by the ElectronicAccess Control system which will check presented Accreditation Passes for validity andvenue privileges. This will be augmented with visual security checks and searches.5.5.5 Security at training venuesLOCOG Security will also implement a level of overlay at the training venues following<strong>de</strong>tailed risk assessments. Athletes and NPC team officials will be required to displaythe appropriate accreditation in line with the Games accreditation policy and visualchecks and searches will operate using security guards.5.5.6 Security in transitLOCOG is working with the police forces and highway authorities to ensure securityand enforcement of the Paralympic Route Network (PRN).
