3.2 NPC Support Grants3.2.1 Support Grant calculationLOCOG will provide each NPC with a Support Grant for all eligible athletes and NPCteam officials. These grants are a contribution to help offset the cost of NPCsparticipating at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.Eligibility criteriaEligible categories:- Athletes (Aa) with accreditation validated at Game-time;- Athlete Competition Partners (Ab);- Accredited Chefs de Mission and Deputy Chefs de Mission (Ac); and- Accredited officials calculated under the NPC Delegation Quota Formula (equalsthe number of Paralympic Village beds given to each NPC for their Am and Ao).Non-eligible categories:- Additional Team Officials (As);- Paralympic Attachés (Ac);- Grooms;- NPC Presidents and Secretaries General (if they have a double role of the Chef deMission, they are eligible in the Chef de Mission category);- Replacements for injured athletes;- Any athlete or official disqualified for doping violations or removed from theGames or disciplinary reasons;- Any athlete or team official registered at the Delegation Registration Meeting(DRM) who has not activated their accreditation;- Personal coaches and training partners;- The host NPC; and- Any NPC that is suspended by the IPC at Games-time.The Support Grant will be calculated using the following criteria:- Lowest published, economy class, round-trip fares for NPC delegations, which canbe rebooked for a fee, from an NPC’s capital city to London Heathrow Airport,the official Port of Entry for the London 2012 Games.- Based on airfares, whenever possible, for flights which arrive at Heathrow Airporton 16 July 2012 and depart on 15 August 2012 (opening and closing dates forthe Villages during the Olympic Games).London 2012 – NPC Chefs de Mission Dossier41
