MPC media conference bookingBookings for all conference and interview facilities will be arranged through theMPC Media Conference Manager at the booking office or by emailingconferencebookings@london2012.com.An interview room with couches and backdrops for television one-to-one interviews willbe located nearby and available on a first come, first served basis.Athletes attending media conferences at the MPCAs an athlete will not automatically have MPC access, a Guest Pass will be needed.The IPC will give a quota of permanent MPC Guest Passes to NPC Press Attachés inorder to facilitate their athletes’ entrance to the MPC. If lost, these cannot be replaced.Athletes can access the MPC in the following ways:- On foot from the Common Domain;- Via a dedicated MPC shuttle which will run between the media drop-off point atthe Paralympic Village and the MPC (by appointment); or- Driven in an NPC vehicle with a Vehicle Access and Parking Permit (VAPP) and bedropped off at the MPC’s VIP entrance.Media conference VIPs (top-table speakers and accompanying persons) will enter theMPC via the lower ground floor using the media conference VIP entrance. Their nameswill be on a pre-approved list that allows them access to the MPC. Once throughsecurity screening, they will be escorted to the green room where they can wait untilthe conference begins.MPC transport and parkingThe Media Transport Mall will be one of two hubs for the Media Transport System.The Media Transport Mall will include:- Service to all London competition venues (the purchase of tickets to Weymouthand Portland will be facilitated by the Transport help desk located in the lobby ofthe MPC although media will book and pay for their rail/flight tickets); and- Loop road service around the Olympic Park.London 2012 – NPC Chefs de Mission Dossier176
