Alternative dining optionsAdditional dining options will be offered to Village residents, including:- Four ‘grab and go’ carts offering coffee, porridge, granola bars, yoghurt pots,muffins and pre-prepared fruit at breakfast and sandwiches and boxed salads forlunch. These carts will move throughout the Village in order to provide easieraccess to all residents.- Weather permitting, an outdoor ‘al fresco’ dining will be offered in the south-westof the Village. This will include barbecues and handheld street food during lunchand dinner, which will showcase the best of contemporary British cuisine. Aprogramme of events and meal options will be included in the main menuproduced in early 2012.Village Plaza caféThe Village Plaza café will offer a range of hot and cold food and beverages. Thecafé will be open every day from 06:00–21:00. This is a user pays café from 09:00–21:00. Free continental breakfast will be served to village residents (with diningprivileges) from 06:00–09:00. Free hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages will beavailable to accredited delegates who have Village dining privileges (with diningprivileges) throughout the day.Hospitality servicesNPCs wishing to arrange catering for hospitality functions or meetings within theVillage can book this service at the Catering desk in the NPC Services Centre.Catering options and charges will be published and made available to NPCs in thefirst quarter of 2012.Athlete Venue Meals (AVMs)Athlete Venue Meals (AVMs) will be available for athletes and NPC team officials whowill be away from the Paralympic Village for competition and training for more thanfour hours. AVMs must be ordered from the Catering desk 48 hours in advance. Themeals will be prepared on site for collection at the athlete lounge.
