Flotation of EYDAP and EYATH
In April 2000, 28% of EYDAP was listed on the Athens Stock Exchange in a nine times
oversubscribed issue. The issue raised €233 million for the company and allowed its activities to be
run on a commercial basis. The government will retain control of its water production facilities in the
medium term and will be responsible for its investment programme until 2008. This was followed in
2001 by the flotation of a similar stake in Thessalonki’s EYATH.
