PART 1: 2005-2006 OVERVIEW
Three new companies have been identified at the time the Yearbook was going to press. These
will be fully covered in the next edition of the Yearbook:
China Everbright International: Hong Kong based company active in Guangzhou Province,
providing water and wastewater for Shenzhen (population 1.3 million) through a local joint
venture and wastewater for Zibo (population 2.6 million).
Qianjiang Water Resources: Municipally based company providing water supply to Qianjiang
City in Hubei Province (1999 population 313,000).
Tianjin Capital Environmental Protection: Wastewater treatment projects in Tianjing. One
development project fully operational) serving approximately 350,000 people and a second
project with a capacity of 1.459 million tonnes per day designed to serve 90% of the city.
