mention <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Ta<strong>in</strong>o</strong> words ajes <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> description <strong>of</strong> casaba >’bread’ <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> text<br />
which seem <strong>to</strong> h<strong>in</strong>t <strong>to</strong> a previous connection between Africans <strong>and</strong> Europeans prior <strong>to</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong>ir arrival <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Americas</strong> or a possible post edition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> orig<strong>in</strong>al text by a different<br />
writer with <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>troduction <strong>of</strong> new words.<br />

word it’s believed <strong>to</strong> come from <strong>the</strong> orig<strong>in</strong>al name <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cubanacan region mean<strong>in</strong>g<br />
