Fucking journalists. Justin was telling me all about their latest scheme

right before we heard Sofia screaming.

A couple of them tried to sneak into the hotel, they were escorted out and

caused some ruckus. Apparently three others had taken advantage of the

security staff being busy and came in undetected to get a room. I would bet

good money this fucker was one of them.

I nodded at Justin and the latter put his gun away and went to search for

his ID. He did find it in his back pocket and shook his head, letting me know

what he was saying was true.

Slowly, I pulled my gun down but feeling Sofia’s trembling body against

mine made me want to shoot him for traumatizing her more than she already

was.

“What the fuck are you doing here, Andrew? Don’t you understand the

meaning of trespassing? Of fucking privacy?” Nothing made me more angry

than someone not respecting others’ boundaries.

“N-no, none of that! I just wanted to ask Miss Raymond some questions.”

He had the decency to look ashamed.

“By breaking into her room and startling her in the bathroom? By putting

your fucking hands on her without her consent and trying to smother her

screams?” I swear to God I was gonna lose it.

“It’s your fault! You wouldn’t even let us near them! We’re just trying to

do our jobs! She started screaming before I could even talk!”

“Hijo de puta!” Sofia’s weight on my side disappeared as she launched

herself at him, hands fisted and ready to pound his mouth.

That startled me. She was screaming and scratching Harrison’s face,

Justin moved just in time, before she could do real damage to the journalist,

grabbing her by the waist and hauling her away from him. For some reason, I

didn’t like his hands on her, so I stepped in, leading her closer to the door,

but she wouldn’t stop wriggling, trying to get out of my grasp.
