34 Power Distribution<br />

1. Measure at J5-1 on the Battery Charger PCB when performing step 3.<br />

Battery Pack Replacement<br />

WARNING... The batteries are capable of delivering high currents at high voltages and<br />

should be considered fully charged at all times. Remove jewelry such as<br />

rings and watches when working around dangerous voltages.<br />

Refer to Figure 20 for <strong>com</strong>ponent locations.<br />

1. Verify that the Workstation keyswitch is turned to the OFF position and the AC<br />

power plug is disconnected from the wall receptacle.<br />

2. Remove the Rear Handle Cover Assembly by removing 3 screws located behind<br />

the assembly door and one screw on each side.<br />

3. Remove the Front Cover by removing 2 screws near the top of the vertical shaft.<br />

4. Remove the Right Front Cover by removing the 3 screws securing the cover to the<br />

Mobile C-Arm.<br />

CAUTION! Do not turn CB1 to the OFF position unless the AC power cord has been<br />

unplugged.<br />

5. Turn circuit breaker CB1 to the OFF position.<br />

6. Cut the cable tie that secures the wiring near CB1 and unplug the battery<br />

connectors.<br />

7. Remove the spacer from the top of each battery pack.<br />

8. Lift the battery pack straight up and then pull the pack straight out.<br />

NOTE: When installing batteries, reconnect battery connectors black to black, red to red, and<br />

blue to blue. Refer to Figure 19. Reset CB1 after the battery connections are made by<br />

moving the switch position to ON.
