OPTION PROM<br />

Option PROM U25 on the Communications PCB is accessed by the AT Motherboard<br />

during the boot process for information such as:<br />

• CGA graphics driver software, used until the Image Processor PCB is initialized.<br />

• CMOS setup.<br />

• OEC software signature stamp, if a diskette is found in the 3 1/2-inch floppy drive.<br />

CLOCK<br />

Oscillator Y1 and counter U36 provide clock signals for DUARTS U26 and U27 (3.6864<br />

MHz), UARTS U22 and U20 (1.8432 MHz), and the boot and diagnostic LEDs (230.4<br />

Khz) on the Aux Interface PCB.<br />

JUMPERS E1, E2, E3<br />

Jumpers E1, E2, and E3 on the AT Communications PCB are used to configure the<br />

system for the hard drive disk type installed in the Workstation. Refer to the Image<br />

Storage section for details.
