Trackpad Pointing Device
Operation of the Trackpad pointing device will produce output on segments 0 through 7
of the LED array in accordance with the pressure applied. Initial pressure of contact will
cause the display for the affected quadrant(s) of the device to display a binary code of
"10," with increasing pressure causing the display to advance through "01" and "11" as
pressure on the device increases significantly. Trackpad quadrants are displayed North,
South, East, West on the LED bargraph as shown below:
RAM Test

Execute the RAM test by simultaneously pressing and releasing both the CTRL and
CUSTOMIZE keys on the QWERTY panel. The RAM Test verifies that the RAM is
functional between address 0X8000 and 0XEFFF. It also verifies that the RAM is not
accessible from 0XF000 to 0XFFFF, which are decoded as I/O addresses. The RAM
test takes approximately 1 second, during which time LEDs 8 and 9 on the diagnostic
display will indicate test activity.
If the RAM test is successful, the pattern below is placed on the diagnostic LED display.
NOTE: LED segment 9 will be blinking.

If the RAM test fails, the pattern below is put on the diagnostic LED display and the
pattern will blink (along with segment #9).
