Camera Iris Closed Stop (Short Method Continued)<br />

1. In the AUTO FLUORO mode, verify TECH LOCK is OFF.<br />

2. Tape 1 copper filter on the bottom of the collimator to ensure it covers the entire Xray<br />

beam.<br />

3. Loosen the set screw on the closed iris stop as shown in Figure 33.<br />

4. While making an exposure, turn the gears to adjust the iris (open or closed) until the<br />

generator tracks to 68 kV.<br />

5. Carefully swing the closed iris stop against the stop pin. Tighten the set screw to 10<br />

inch/lbs (about 60° of twist in Bristol driver). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SET<br />

SCREW.<br />

6. Check the gears to ensure they move easily.<br />

7. Verify the generator tracks to 68 kV with one copper filter and the iris closed.<br />

8. Rotate the iris to the open stop position.<br />

9. Reboot the system and re-verify tracking from the specifications on the previous<br />

page.<br />

10. Remove all copper filters when finished.
