30 Mechanical Assemblies<br />

BALANCE WHEEL REMOVAL<br />

WARNING... Electrical circuits inside the equipment use voltages that are capable<br />

of causing serious injury or death from electrical shock. Use<br />

appropriate precautions.<br />

1. Verify that the Workstation keyswitch is turned to the OFF position and the<br />

AC power plug is disconnected from the wall receptacle.<br />

2. Remove the Rear Handle Cover Assembly by removing 3 screws located<br />

behind the assembly door and one screw on each side.<br />

3. Remove the Front Cover by removing 2 screws near the top of the vertical shaft.<br />

4. Remove the Right Front Cover by removing the 3 screws securing the cover<br />

to the Mobile C-Arm.<br />

5. Turn circuit breaker CB1 to the OFF position.<br />

6. Cut the cable tie that secures the wiring near CB1 and unplug the battery<br />

connectors.<br />

WARNING... The batteries are capable of delivering high currents at high voltages<br />

and should be considered fully charged at all times. Remove jewelry<br />

such as rings and watches when working around dangerous<br />

voltages.<br />

7. Remove the spacer from the top of the right battery pack.<br />

8. Lift the battery pack straight up and then pull the pack straight out.<br />

9. Elevate the Mobile C-Arm approximately 4 inches from the floor.<br />

10. Remove the bolt (axle) and balance wheel.
