TOGGLE MOTION ARTIFACT<br />

MOTION ARTIFACT OFF<br />

This menu selection is an ON/OFF toggle function.<br />

Motion Artifact Reduction (MARS) provides a built-in reduction of motion artifacts<br />

displayed in the averaged image. The result is that noise is averaged, but movements<br />

are seen without the usual amount of lag. This allows higher levels of averaging to be<br />

used for better noise reduction in many situations.<br />

NOTE: Averaging can only be used in the Continuous X-Ray mode. The use of Averaging in<br />

the Pulse mode is not allowed.<br />

CONTROL PANEL TESTS<br />

NOTE: To run these tests, the Control Panel Processor Board located under the Control<br />

Panel must be exposed to allow viewing of the Diagnostics LED array.<br />

The Control Panel Processor PCB diagnostic program is called if the diagnostic switch<br />

is closed by installing a shorting jumper on E1, pins 7-8. This diagnostic tests the LED<br />

drivers and the key matrices and provides visual indications of the integrity of both as<br />

each key is pressed.<br />

Diagnostic Key Code Display<br />

The row and column of any key pressed is displayed on the LED diagnostic array (DS1)<br />

with the LSB to the left and the MSB to the right; the row in bits 0-3 and the column in<br />

bits 4-7.<br />

NOTE: The Diagnostic Display is oriented on the PCB with the least significant bit on the<br />

left. When the PCB is oriented so that the PCB annotation can be read, the binary<br />

display will appear backwards (LSB to the left, MSB to the right).
