Article XIX
The commitments undertaken by the Kingdom of Spain in this Agreement shall respect
the competencies of the European Union and the provisions emanating from its institutions.
Article XX
This Agreement shall enter into force when the Contracting Parties notify each other
that they have completed the internal formalities required for the conclusion of international
treaties.
This Agreement shall remain in force for a period of four years and shall be renewed
automatically for successive four-year periods, unless either of the Parties notifies the other
Party to the contrary, through the diplomatic channel, at least three months before the date
of renewal.
Either Party may denounce the Agreement in writing by notification to the other Party
through the diplomatic channel of its intention. The denunciation shall take effect three
months after the date of notification.
The termination of this Agreement shall not affect the completion of any co-productions
that were approved while it was in force.
In witness whereof, the undersigned, being duly authorized thereto by their Governments,
have signed this Agreement at Rabat, on 27 April 1998, in two originals in the Spanish
and Arabic languages, both texts being equally authentic.
