AND DECLARES that, consistent with the constitutional status
of Tokelau and taking into account the commitment of the Government
of New Zealand to the development of self-government
for Tokelau through an act of self-determination under the
Charter of the United Nations, this accession shall not
extend to Tokelau unless and until a Declaration to this
effect is lodged by the Government of New Zealand with the
Depositary on the basis of appropriate consultation with
that territory.

Et ddclare que, conformdment au statut constitutionnel du
Tok6laou et compte tenu de l'engagement du Gouvernement
ndo-zdlandais en faveur de la mise en place d'un gouvernement
autonome pour le Tok6laou grace A un acte d'autod6termination
en vertu de la Charte des Nations Unies, la pr6sente
adhdsion ne couvrira pas le Tokdlaou tant que le Gouvernement
ndo-z6landais n'aura pas saisi le ddpositaire d'une
ddclaratioh & cet effet & la suite de consultations approprides
avec ce territoire.
