Commemoration We can deal with the Holocaust through different kinds of languages: the language of historical research, the language of commemoration, and by the language of teaching which includes both. Analele Universităţii din Craiova, Seria Istorie, Anul XV, Nr. 2(18)/2010 MISCELLANEA PRIMELE EDIŢII CRITICE TIPĂRITE ALE NOULUI TESTAMENT ÎN LIMBA GREACĂ THE FIRST PRINTED CRITICAL EDITIONS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT IN GREEK Abstract 287 Mihai Ciurea * The passing from manuscripts to the printed critical editions of the New Testament was a decisive step in the history of biblical text, but also a significant progress for the development of textual criticism of the Bible, as a science. The new editions, more and more punctual, were giving the possibility of putting and describing together the textual evidences, in the so-called apparatus criticus, a very important instrument for the critical analyze of the sacred text. In the same time, it was also issued the idea of a textus receptus, as a standard text of the Church, which remained in the conscience of believers until the apparition of the modern critical editions. The first editions of the New Testament in Greek are connected with the names of the most famous scholars, which discovered many biblical manuscripts and analyzed them scientifically: Erasmus of Rotterdam, Robert Stephanus and Theodore of Beza. Introducere Descoperirea tiparului de către Johannes Gensfleisch Gutenberg (1394- 1486) 1 a marcat un moment capital în cultura şi civilizaţia umanităţii, înlocuind * Prep. univ. drd., Facultatea de Teologie, Universitatea din Craiova. 1 Inventatorul tiparului s-a născut în anul 1397 în oraşul Mainz. Numele său de familie era Gensfleisch, dar s-a numit Gutenberg după curtea la care a locuit. Înaintaşii săi aparţineau patricienilor oraşului, care număra atunci aproximativ 6.000 de locuitori. Biografii îl descriu pe tânărul Johannes ca fiind interesat mai ales în domeniul tehnicii, pentru care dovedea un real talent. După moartea tatălui său (1419) a învăţat să prelucreze aurul şi giuvaergeria. În anul 1428, în urma unui conflict dintre patricieni şi corporaţiile meşteşugăreşti din Mainz, Gutenberg a fost silit să părăsească oraşul natal, refugiindu-se la Strasbourg, unde a întreprins cele dintâi încercări tipografice, pe care le-a desăvârşit apoi tot în Mainz. Bătrân, uitat de toţi şi orbit aproape de tot, Gutenberg a murit la 2 februarie 1468, când încă nu împlinise 60 de ani, după un
