Das Alfred-Wegener-Institut (AWI) ist eines der inter -<br />
national führenden Kompetenzzentren für die Klima -<br />
forschung in Meeres- und Polarregionen. Es ist vor allem<br />
bekannt für seine Arbeit in Arktis und Antarktis, forscht<br />
aber auch im Wattenmeer und in der Deutschen Bucht.<br />
Das AWI ist über nationale Grenzen und wissenschaftliche<br />
Disziplinen hinweg breit vernetzt.<br />

The Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) is a leading inter -<br />
