Since it was founded in 1974, TERRATRANS has changed
from a forwarding agent and transport company to a
global logistics enterprise. Today it maintains its own
worldwide network of agents, with branch offices in Bremen,
Hamburg and Bad Salzuflen, together with Sassuolo
near Modena and Verona in Italy. The medium-sized enterprise
constantly endeavours to find individual, flexible
logistic solutions for its clients. It offers an ideal combi -
nation of ocean-going transport with logistics, forwarding
and on-carriage.
The company’s sites include more than 58,000 square
metres of modern warehousing. Here TERRATRANS offers
not only storage and commissioning. It also maintains
daily contact with its partners in the Far East and Europe
to guarantee optimum consignment tracking.
TERRATRANS is well prepared for the demands made by
the market. Together with traditional forwarding and
transportation, the logistics experts also offer individual
warehousing solutions and see themselves as part of the
supply chain for their customers.
Together with storage, commissioning, labelling and
packaging, TERRATRANS also offers repacking, price
marking, quality controls and fur ther services around the
goods. IT connections with the customers guarantee
smooth handling of orders and services.
Nearly 200 trucks operate regular services to and from
Italy, Austria, Hungary, France, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia,
Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Scandinavia
and the Baltic countries, providing reliable transport to
the consignees. All trucks are equipped with telephone
and in some cases also with satellite tracking, thus per -
mitting flexible, short-term scheduling.
Today TERRATRANS is considered to be a market leader in
truck traffic with Italy, Spain and Portugal. The company
offers logistics, forwarding and transportation all from a
single source.
Cooperation with the FAR EAST CARGO LINE also lets
customers profit from a global presence in ocean-going
freight: TERRATRANS is the general agent for all of
Germany. The global agency permits direct full container
and part load services to and from all major ports in
the world.
