Peter W. Lampke GmbH & Co. KG (PWL) was established in
Bremen on 20 October 1964. At that time the company
worked as shipbroker and liner agent. Offices were
opened in Ham-burg and Bremerhaven. The company
became one of the leading entities in the branch. Sub -
sidiaries, affiliates and joint ventures were set up to fulfil
the demands of the global maritime business. The most
important of these is sure to be the China Shipping
Agency (Germany) GmbH in Bremen and Hamburg. The
wide range of services offered by the company includes
acting as representatives for some 20 liner services involved
in conventional, ro/ro- and container transport as well
as semi-liner services for the worldwide transport of project
cargoes and industrial plants. The affiliated company
PWL Port Services GmbH & Co. KG takes charge of clearing
all kinds of vessels includ-ing cruise ships and tankers
through all German ports. PWL Worldwide Logistics GmbH
& Co. KG works together with its partners at home and
abroad primarily in the field of global automotive logistics.
Thus the PWL Group stands for 360° maritime logistics.
The formula of success of this proprietor-run company is
seen in focusing consistently on the customers’ demands.

the other hand, shippers and forwarding agents, who all
