Chapter 8 – Clustering in Seaports 101 Only data on levy payers are available to identify the relevant cluster region. In this data source firms are grouped in a number of industries. These are not detailed enough to single out port related manufacturing and trading firms, but good enough to identify cargo handling, transport and logistics firms. The concentration analysis is based on these firms alone. The results of the concentration analysis are given in Table 28. The municipalities with a concentration index of 1.7 of higher (bold in the table) are part of the port cluster region.
