6. Data analysis
The scoring system in <strong>the</strong> questionnaire was based on a 5-point Likert-scale with <strong>the</strong> values (1)
strongly disagree, (2) disagree, (3) neutral, (4) agree and (5) strongly agree.
The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 16 (2007) was used to analyse <strong>the</strong>
collected data because <strong>of</strong> its included features which were very important to achieve <strong>the</strong> main
objectives <strong>of</strong> this research. The following statistics were used:
Frequencies and percentages to describe <strong>the</strong> selected characteristics <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> study participants.
One-way and Two-way ANOVA models to test <strong>the</strong> research hypo<strong>the</strong>ses due to <strong>the</strong>ir ability to test
multiple variables at <strong>the</strong> same time instead <strong>of</strong> running two separate tests, but <strong>the</strong> main reason
was <strong>the</strong>ir ability to determine whe<strong>the</strong>r one variable affects <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs.
6.1 The relationship between KM and Data-quality:

From <strong>the</strong> results above, <strong>the</strong>re is a positive relationship between KM and Data quality in NHS (B=
.582). This goes to show that KM practices will improve <strong>the</strong> quality <strong>of</strong> data collected and enhance a
standard for <strong>the</strong> terminology used in data collection and recording. From <strong>the</strong> previous tables, <strong>the</strong>
results showed that <strong>the</strong> current criterion which needs emphasis is <strong>the</strong> IT criterion. An improvement in
this direction will bring about a subsequent improvement in <strong>the</strong> quality <strong>of</strong> data collected.
