and <strong>the</strong> solutions have a complex composition) (Dubitski, 1992).
The technology is based on <strong>the</strong> electrolysis <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> solutions that are to be decontamination, collected
from current clients, after a preliminary treatment. The methods used are electrochemical, specific for
accelerating <strong>the</strong> electrolysis process. After an advanced recovery <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> silver ions, <strong>the</strong> ions remained
in <strong>the</strong> solution precipitate and are removed through filtration. One works in batches (<strong>the</strong> average time
does not exceed 8 hours and depends on <strong>the</strong> concentration and composition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> respective
solution). The purified solution is finally discharged into <strong>the</strong> sewage system.
The application <strong>of</strong> this technology provides a superior management <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> diluted liquid waste,
containing silver ions, due to <strong>the</strong> original advanced purification method <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> solution. The resulted
metallic silver (small amounts) can be sold as such.
3.5 Technology for processing galvanic sludge in hazardous waste (19 03 05
category)
The high toxic potential <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> galvanic sludge makes <strong>the</strong> latter improper for direct discharge or to be
deposited as such in environment and <strong>the</strong>ir very complex composition requires a complicated,
laborious and expensive processing so as to be decontamination. Thus, <strong>the</strong> galvanic sludge collected
from clients, toge<strong>the</strong>r with <strong>the</strong> 3 previous presented technologies, are neutralized (are brought to a
neutral pH), <strong>the</strong>n are embedded (toge<strong>the</strong>r with o<strong>the</strong>r components) in <strong>the</strong> composition <strong>of</strong> some special
concrete tiles (Untea, 2002).
The galvanic sludge processing technology in hazardous waste is original, simple and cheap and
involves <strong>the</strong> embedment <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> galvanic sludge in stable structures, namely, special concrete tiles,
which can be used, for example, to stabilize and fix <strong>the</strong> waste or tailing dumps.
3.6 Transfer <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> photonic field heating / drying technology, with separation <strong>of</strong>
mediums
Nowadays, <strong>the</strong> economic agents working in <strong>the</strong> shipbuilding (shipyards) or in <strong>the</strong> machinery and
equipments field, as well as those from <strong>the</strong> service stations, bodywork / paint etc., use hot air for
drying <strong>the</strong> fresh painted surfaces.
The technology <strong>of</strong> heating / drying in photonic field, with separation <strong>of</strong> mediums, is mainly based on
<strong>the</strong> process <strong>of</strong> focusing <strong>the</strong> radiation with colour temperature <strong>of</strong> a halogen lamp filament (Untea,
2002).
Thus, one can heat / dry at high temperatures materials <strong>of</strong> surfaces with no direct contact between
<strong>the</strong> heating element and <strong>the</strong> heated object. The heating element can be situated outside <strong>the</strong> working
area, being in this way separated from <strong>the</strong> possible existing reactive / oxidant atmosphere. According
to <strong>the</strong> clients’ necessities, <strong>the</strong> technology can be very easily adapted for o<strong>the</strong>r drying / heating
processes, such as preparing various surfaces for technological processes, drying / heating in food
industry.
Outline:
So as to assess <strong>the</strong> impact that <strong>the</strong> technologies implementation would have on environment, an
environmental impact study was made. The conclusion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> carried-out study was that <strong>the</strong> possibility
<strong>of</strong> affecting <strong>the</strong> environmental factors and population health because <strong>of</strong> setting-up <strong>the</strong> photonic field
generators workshop, as well as <strong>the</strong> applying, at industrial scale, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> technology for surfaces
heating / drying in photonic field was reduced, even negligible. So, <strong>the</strong> negative effects upon
environment are minor, while as <strong>the</strong> positive effects, reflected in reduced operational costs and large
range <strong>of</strong> utilization possibilities <strong>of</strong> utilization <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> product and transferred technology, are
considerable.
As a result, it is advisable to accept, even to encourage <strong>the</strong> promotion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> technology for heating /
drying <strong>of</strong> painted surfaces in photonic field, as well as <strong>the</strong> production <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> necessary equipment,
namely, <strong>the</strong> photonic field generator. Its maintenance and reparations are simple, with relatively
reduced costs. The main problem that may occur in <strong>the</strong> generator functioning is represented by <strong>the</strong>
mirrors distortion (because <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> high operating temperature, as well as <strong>the</strong> great temperature
variations) and <strong>the</strong> loss <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir luster, which leads to an imprecise focalisation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> photonic field
