In Table 7 respondents from companies with an EIS could select more than one person responsible
for ensuring the integrity of EISs in comparison with all the respondents to the questionnaire. The
main persons involve are accountants (27.7%) followed closely by the executives (20.0%) to ensure
the integrity of EISs. Only one CEO and five auditors were selected and no investors were selected
for a person ensuring the integrity of EISs.

The respondents could select more than one person by stating ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the person assuring
ownership of EISs as per Table 8. Regarding the ownership of EISs, executives (84.0%) had the
highest percentage followed by a group of persons nearly equally spread between CEOs (76.0%),
Middle management (72.0%), IT persons (72.0%) and Accountants (68.0%).
