Professor Walter Castelnovo is Assistant Professor of Information Systems and
Organisation at the University of Insubria (Italy). His research interests concern
technological and organizational innovation in Public Administration and
Interorganisational Information Systems. He is a member of the Department of
Institutional Reforms, E-Government and Institutional Federalism of the Association of
the Municipalities of Lombardia (Italy).
Professor Elena Ferrari is professor of Computer Science at the University of
Insubria. Her research activities are related to various aspects of data
management systems, including web security, access control and privacy,
multimedia databases, and temporal databases. On these topics she has
published more than a hundred scientific publications in international journals and
conference proceedings. She has served as Programme Chair and Programme
Committee member of several international conferences She is in the Editorial
Board of the VLDB Journal and the International Journal of Information
Technology (IJIT), is a member of the ACM and a senior member of IEEE.
Keynote Speakers
Dr. Linamara Rizzo Battistella is currently State Secretary for the Rights of the
Person with Disability in the São Paulo State Government, Brazil. She is also (until
2012) the Honorary President of the International Society of the Physical and
Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) and Professor at the Medicine School of the
University of São Paulo. From 2008-2010 she was a member of the Board of
Governors of Brazilian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABMFR).
Linamara has 149 articles published in periodicals, 8 published or organised books
and 42 published book chapters to her credit..
Alberto Sanna graduated in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. He has
been involved in healthcare process re-engineering projects in the Scientific Institute
San Raffaele since 1989, being in charge of several automation projects, designing
and realizing robotic work cells for Patient- and Operator-safety critical processes.
Since 2002 he is director of the e-Services for Life and Health Unit .He has presented
his research activities in more than 90 international congresses, and conducts
interdisciplinary teaching activities in Information Technology and Italian Design
Courses and Masters. He is an author of edutainment videogames and inventor of
patents & trademarks in the field of innovative technologies for health.
Mini Track Chairs
Dr Erik Borglund has a PhD in computer and system science and is one of four
senior researchers at the archival and information managagement school of Mid
Sweden University. Erik is a senior lecturer in archival science and information science
at Mid Sweden University, and his main research interests are digital recordkeeping,
archival systems, document management, information systems in crisis management,
information systems design and Computer Supported Cooperative Work.
