6. Focus the sample using the microscope focus knob or, if available, the rocker<br />

switch and the fine focus knob on the Remote Control unit.<br />

7. After the hardware setup is complete, you can use the <strong>iCys</strong> application to view the<br />

samples on the microscope stage.<br />

Observing Samples using EpiFluorescence<br />

➣ If your <strong>iCys</strong> system includes the optional EpiFluorescence feature, you can use it to<br />

observe samples as follows:<br />

1. Set the light path selector lever to observation ( ).<br />

2. If necessary, deselect Brightfield from the <strong>iCys</strong> Instrument menu.<br />

3. Turn on the Power Supply Unit for the mercury burner.<br />

4. Set the EpiFluorescence cassette to the desired filter position. The following<br />

filters are supplied with <strong>iCys</strong>:<br />
