Disassembly (Cont’d)<br />

Remove the snap ring and centering spring assembly<br />

from the piston [A].<br />

Disassemble the centering spring assembly as shown in<br />

Figure [B]:<br />

Remove the lock nut (Item 1) [B], nut (Item 2) [B], short<br />

spring gui<strong>de</strong> (Item 3) [B], spring (Item 4) [B], stop (Item<br />

5) [B] and long spring gui<strong>de</strong> (Item 6) [B] from the<br />

centering screw (Item 7) [B].<br />

Inspection<br />

Clean all parts in solvent and use air pressure to dry them.<br />

DO NOT use cloth or paper because small pieces of<br />

material can get into the system and cause damage.<br />

Lubricate all internal pump parts with clean hydraulic oil<br />

before assembly.<br />

Check the two bearing locater pins (Item 1) [C] in the end<br />

housing. The pins must measure 0.0625–0.080 inch<br />

(1,65–2,03 mm) from the end housing surface to the end<br />

of the pins.<br />

Check the shaft for wear or damage in the splined and<br />

bearing areas [D].<br />

Check the bearing for proper operation. Remove from the<br />

shaft only if necessary to replace [D].<br />
