BLOWER HOUSING/FAN GEARBOX<br />

Removal and Installation<br />

Raise the lift arms and install an approved lift arm support<br />

<strong>de</strong>vice. (See Page 1–1.)<br />

Raise the operator cab. (See Page 1–1.)<br />

Remove the mounting bolts (Item 1) [A] from the gas<br />

cylin<strong>de</strong>r mounting bracket.<br />

Installation: Tighten the mounting bolts to 80–90 in.–lbs.<br />

(9–10 Nm) torque.<br />

Remove the hydraulic fluid reservoir. (See Page 2–1.)<br />

Disconnect the wiring harness connectors (Item 1) [B].<br />

Remove the harness clamp (Item 2) [B].<br />

Disconnect the breather hose from the fan drive housing.<br />

Lay the electrical harness down for clearance at the<br />

blower housing.<br />

Remove the clamp and belt shield (Item 1) [C] for the fan<br />

drive.<br />

Remove the fan drive belt.<br />

Installation: When checking the fan gearbox oil level,<br />

make sure the level does not go above the top of the shaft<br />

in the gearbox [C]. Use 90W gear lube oil if the level is low.<br />

Use a putty knife to remove the sealant from the blower<br />

housing and loa<strong>de</strong>r frame [D].<br />
