LIFT ARMS<br />

Removal and Installation<br />

Roll the Bob–Tach (Item 1) [A] fully forward.<br />

Stop the engine.<br />

Remove the Bob–Tach (Item 1) [A] from the lift arms<br />

(Page 5–13).<br />

Install the slings (Item 2) [A] on the lift arms.<br />

Connect a chain hoist to the slings [A].<br />

Remove the retainer bolt and nut (Item 1) [B] from the rod<br />

end lift cylin<strong>de</strong>r pivot pin (both si<strong>de</strong>s).<br />

Installation: Tighten the retainer bolt and nut to 18–20<br />

ft.–lbs. (24–27 Nm) torque.<br />

Raise the lift arms with the chain hoist so there is enough<br />

clearance to remove the rod end pivot pin.<br />

Remove the lift cylin<strong>de</strong>r rod end pivot pin (both si<strong>de</strong>s).<br />

Lower the lift arms.<br />

Disconnect the auxiliary hydraulic tubelines and hoses<br />

(Item 1) [C] if so equipped (both si<strong>de</strong>s).<br />

Remove the retainer bolt and nut (Item 2) [C] from the lift<br />

arm pivot pin.<br />

Installation: Tighten the retainer bolt and nut to 18–20<br />

ft.–lbs. (24–27 Nm) torque.<br />

Remove the lift arm pivot pin.<br />

Raise the lift arms with the chain hoist and remove from<br />

the loa<strong>de</strong>r frame.<br />
