Assembly (Cont’d)<br />

◊ Apply oil to the three mol<strong>de</strong>d O–rings on the plate<br />

(Item 1) [A]. Install the plate onto the housing.<br />

Install the adapter housing [A].<br />

♦ Install the three bolts into the adapter housing [B].<br />

Evenly tighten the bolts to 16–21 ft.–lbs. (22–28 Nm)<br />

torque.<br />

♦ Apply petroleum jelly to a new O–ring and back–up<br />

washer. Install the back–up washer (Item 1) [C] and<br />

O–ring (Item 2) [C] onto the bypass valve.<br />

Install the by–pass valve [C].<br />

Tighten the valve to 7–10 ft.–lbs. (9,5–13,6 Nm) torque.<br />

♦ Apply petroleum jelly to a new O–ring. Install the<br />

O–ring on the plug [D].<br />

Apply oil to the charge pressure relief valve. Install the<br />

charge pressure relief valve, spring, shims (if equipped)<br />

and plug [D].<br />

Tighten the plug to 30–70 ft.–lbs. (41–95 Nm) torque.<br />
