FAN DRIVE TENSION PULLEY<br />

Removal and Installation<br />

Remove the fan drive belt.<br />

Remove the idler pulley bolt (Item 1) [A].<br />

Remove the spacers, bolt and washers from the arm [B].<br />

Installation: Put a small amount of grease around the<br />

outsi<strong>de</strong> edge (Item 1) [B] on the grease rings (both si<strong>de</strong>s).<br />

Remove the bolt (Item 1) [C] & [D].<br />

Remove the thrust washer (Item 2) [D], O–rings (Item 3)<br />

[D] and spring (Item 4) [D].<br />

Check all parts for damage or wear and replace them as<br />

nee<strong>de</strong>d.<br />

Reverse the removal procedure to install the tension<br />

pulley.<br />

NOTE: When making repairs, replace the bronze<br />

bushing (Item 5) [D] with a new style nylon<br />

bushing. Clean all parts and assemble dry.<br />

Do not lubricate. (See Parts Manual for<br />

correct part numbers.)<br />
