RELATED OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVE: By <strong>2009</strong>, <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong> will facilitate resource and knowledge sharing<br />
between grants administrators for the purpose of enhancing grant development efforts that will increase the amount of special<br />
funding which supports service to <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong> students and component districts.<br />
DESCRIPTIVE NARRATIVE: All administrators of grant-funded programs within <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong> will participate in a<br />
consortium that promotes sharing of information and resources between these programs. The consortium will promote collaboration<br />
that increases the efficiency of the daily operational management of their grant programs and will provide staff development on<br />
topics to help them improve their skills as initiators and developers of grant funded projects. If the program proves useful, a<br />
recommendation to expand membership to grants administrators from component districts and service agencies will be explored.<br />
The focus of the consortium will be to increase the efficiency of grant management and to increase our effectiveness in attracting<br />
additional special funding to address unmet needs within our agency and component districts.<br />
