RELATED OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVE: By June <strong>2009</strong>, the feasibility and demand potential from school districts for expanding<br />
networked solutions through <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong> will be researched.<br />
DESCRIPTIVE NARRATIVE: The Director of the Regional Information Center will involve a representative sample of stakeholders,<br />
to participate in a collaborative effort to research and develop expanded networked solutions to be hosted at <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong><br />
for school districts. Some of the areas of investigation will include, but are not limited to:<br />
• SAN (Storage Area Network) solution for Data Retention and Disaster Recovery<br />
• Microsoft Exchange services<br />
• Unified Messaging<br />
• Off-site, out-of-region disaster recovery for data<br />
ACTIVITIES<br />
