Strengthened and systematized the instructional support provided to <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Suffolk</strong> <strong>BOCES</strong> instructional staff<br />
provided by the Educational Support Services Center through the curriculum teachers in order to ensure cutting<br />
edge services preparing our staff to help all students reach higher levels and achievement and satisfy State<br />
Standards.<br />
Provided training for approximately 250 district and <strong>BOCES</strong> staff working with children in included settings, in<br />
particular staff serving students with autism.<br />
Developed and implemented a Visual Identity Program for the agency, issued a Visual Identity Guidelines and<br />
provided staff training, May 2003. In accordance with <strong>Strategic</strong> Action <strong>Plan</strong> V: <strong>BOCES</strong> Communications<br />
Initiatives, this program was designed by the Communications Office to provide a visual framework for the agency<br />
and to establish a system to assure that all agency printed and electronic materials are developed and produced<br />
with consistency and brand identity.<br />

Received successful mid-point review of progress on the Agency/Divisional <strong>Strategic</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> from the Middle States<br />
Association of Colleges and Schools.<br />
Built 50,000 square foot extension to Brookhaven Technical Center, consisting of modular classrooms, office,<br />
cafeteria, and gymnasium; ready for occupancy.<br />
Reduced by 10% the number of students receiving special education summer services in the 2002 summer<br />
program due to the new summer services delivery model for special education students. An additional 10%<br />
reduction in enrollment is anticipated for the 2003 summer program.<br />
Established and staffed Research and Program Improvement Department within the Educational Services<br />
Division; began operations.<br />
Prepared plan for reorganization of the Educational Support and Technology Services Division. 7/02<br />
