AGNES LAM<br />
Agnes Lam is an associate professor at the University of Hong<br />
Kong. She has published two <strong>poet</strong>ry collections, Woman to Woman<br />
<strong>and</strong> Other Poems (1997) <strong>and</strong> Water Wood Pure Splendour (2001).<br />
Her poems or literary analysis of her work have also appeared in<br />
other publications such as Ariel, Poetry International, Westerly,<br />
World Literature Today <strong>and</strong> Le Soir. Some of her poems have been<br />
translated <strong>and</strong> anthologized in German (Stauffenburg, 2006) <strong>and</strong><br />
her short story, “The mountain of chrysanthemums”, is available in<br />
Italian (Isbn Edizioni, 2005). Her academic publications include a<br />
book, Language education in China: Policy <strong>and</strong> experience from<br />
1949 (2005), <strong>and</strong> several articles on Asian writing in English. A.<br />
Lam’s poem also was included in Fish <strong>and</strong> Snake <strong>poet</strong>ry anthology<br />
published in Uzbekistan.<br />
