AVIATION<br />
Corcoran, Gurung<br />
The Avi<strong>at</strong>ion curriculum provides a knowledge base<br />
and training for students pursuing careers in various<br />
phases <strong>of</strong> Avi<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
To progress s<strong>at</strong>isfactorily, a student must complete<br />
all required developmental courses, plus Avi<strong>at</strong>ion 1010<br />
and 1011, with a grade <strong>of</strong> “C” or better, before enrolling<br />
in 3000- or 4000-level courses. Major electives are<br />
upper-level avi<strong>at</strong>ion or other pre-approved courses. The<br />
curriculum also includes 15 hours <strong>of</strong> applied electives.<br />
These are program-guided electives th<strong>at</strong> will benefit<br />
a student’s expected career p<strong>at</strong>h. Advisor approval <strong>of</strong><br />
courses to be used for applied electives is needed.<br />
Flight School Security<br />
To comply with Transport<strong>at</strong>ion Security<br />
Administr<strong>at</strong>ion (TSA) regul<strong>at</strong>ions, all non-U.S. citizens<br />
or other individuals design<strong>at</strong>ed by the TSA desiring to<br />
receive flight or simul<strong>at</strong>or instruction must register and<br />
be approved by the TSA before instruction can begin.<br />

The Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Business Administr<strong>at</strong>ion degree<br />
in Computer Inform<strong>at</strong>ion Systems prepares students<br />
to work in programming, systems analysis, and user<br />
support roles to develop and maintain organiz<strong>at</strong>ional<br />
inform<strong>at</strong>ion systems. For a major in Computer Inform<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
Systems, students must complete CINS 2020, 3002,<br />
3006, 3040, 3044, 4030, and one <strong>of</strong> the two approved<br />
course sequences:<br />
CIS: CINS 4035; 6 hours <strong>of</strong> 3000-4000 level CINS<br />
electives; and BUSN 4012.<br />
