<strong>of</strong> alcoholic beverage containers on<br />
campus, or during any trip sponsored<br />
by the <strong>University</strong>, except as provided<br />
in <strong>University</strong> policy, and/or underage<br />
drinking or possession or providing<br />
alcohol to underage students on or <strong>of</strong>f<br />
campus.<br />
5.03:36 Falsific<strong>at</strong>ion, forgery, alter<strong>at</strong>ion or<br />
misuse <strong>of</strong> <strong>University</strong> documents,<br />
records, identific<strong>at</strong>ion cards or meal<br />
tickets; furnishing false inform<strong>at</strong>ion to<br />
the <strong>University</strong> with the intent to deceive.<br />
5.03:37 Dishonesty or illegal gambling in any<br />
form on <strong>University</strong> property or <strong>at</strong> any<br />
<strong>University</strong>-approved activity.<br />
5.03:38 Passing a worthless check or money<br />
order to the <strong>University</strong> or to a member<br />
<strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> community acting in an<br />
<strong>of</strong>ficial capacity.<br />
5.03:39 Theft, larceny, shoplifting,<br />
embezzle ment or the temporary taking<br />
<strong>of</strong> the property <strong>of</strong> another.<br />
5.03:40 Lifting, taking or acquiring possession<br />
<strong>of</strong>, without permission, any academic,<br />
personal or financial m<strong>at</strong>erials (tests,<br />
in for ma tion, research papers, notes,<br />
books, periodicals, etc.) or financial<br />
inform<strong>at</strong>ion from a member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>University</strong> community. This would<br />
include copyright viol<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />
5.03:41 Giving false testimony or other evidence<br />
<strong>at</strong> any <strong>of</strong>ficial hearing <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> or<br />
giving false inform<strong>at</strong>ion to any faculty or<br />
staff member acting in the performance<br />
<strong>of</strong> his/her duties.<br />
5.03:42 Academic Che<strong>at</strong>ing or Plagiarism. (see<br />
Section 1 <strong>of</strong> the Student Policy Manual)<br />
Other Acts <strong>of</strong> Misconduct<br />
5.03:43 Viol<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> censures imposed by<br />
Student Conduct or any other specified<br />
<strong>University</strong> Unit.<br />
5.03:44 The commission <strong>of</strong> acts or <strong>at</strong>tempted<br />
acts on or <strong>of</strong>f <strong>University</strong> property, <strong>at</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong> authorized events or on any<br />
property owned, leased, or occupied<br />
by any formal or informal organiz<strong>at</strong>ions<br />
associ<strong>at</strong>ed with, approved by, or<br />
identified with the <strong>University</strong>, including<br />
without limit<strong>at</strong>ion, any <strong>at</strong>hletic club,<br />
academic club, social club, fr<strong>at</strong>ernity,<br />
sorority or other society, which acts or<br />
<strong>at</strong>tempted acts constitute a viol<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong><br />
federal, st<strong>at</strong>e, parish and municipal law.<br />
5.03:45 Bribing any <strong>University</strong> employee.<br />
5.03:46 Unauthorized access to or misuse <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong> computers, computing<br />
systems, networks or services<br />
including services such as “Facebook”,<br />
“MySpace.com”, etc. All admitted<br />
students autom<strong>at</strong>ically have an account<br />
issued upon admission approval and<br />
therefore are required to use this<br />

<strong>University</strong> assigned account for<br />
computer resources <strong>at</strong> the <strong>University</strong>.<br />
All students must abide by the terms<br />
and conditions st<strong>at</strong>ed in the Technology<br />
Acceptable Use Policy found <strong>at</strong> http://<br />
www.ulm.edu/computingcenter/content/<br />
technology-acceptable-use-policy.<br />
(NOTE: Any viol<strong>at</strong>ion or abuse <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong> computing equipment, or any<br />
breach <strong>of</strong> security regarding <strong>University</strong><br />
computers can result in the loss <strong>of</strong><br />
privilege to use <strong>University</strong> computing<br />
resources or in more serious disciplinary<br />
action.)<br />
5.03:47 Failure to comply with directions<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>University</strong> Officials acting in the<br />
performance <strong>of</strong> their duties.<br />
5.03:48 Attempting to commit, aiding or inciting<br />
others to commit or <strong>at</strong>tempt to commit<br />
any act <strong>of</strong> misconduct set forth above.<br />
Finally, to preserve the educ<strong>at</strong>ional environment <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>University</strong> Community, a student or student organiz<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
may be formally charged with a viol<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> the ULM Code<br />
<strong>of</strong> Student Conduct and referred to a hearing before the<br />
appropri<strong>at</strong>e university administr<strong>at</strong>or or unit for possible<br />
disciplinary action when as a result <strong>of</strong> misconduct the<br />
student or student organiz<strong>at</strong>ion is:<br />
5.03:49 Convicted <strong>of</strong> a felony.<br />
5.03:50 Formally charged by civil authorities<br />
with the commission <strong>of</strong> a felony <strong>of</strong><br />
such n<strong>at</strong>ure th<strong>at</strong> the student’s or<br />
student organiz<strong>at</strong>ion’s continued<br />
presence <strong>at</strong> the <strong>University</strong> is potentially<br />
dangerous to the health, safety,<br />
and educ<strong>at</strong>ional environment <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>University</strong> community; or<br />
5.03:51 When there is strong convincing<br />
evidence th<strong>at</strong> the student or student<br />
organiz<strong>at</strong>ion against whom civil<br />
authorities have not brought charge<br />
or imposed penalties has committed a<br />
felony <strong>of</strong> such n<strong>at</strong>ure th<strong>at</strong> the student’s<br />
or student organiz<strong>at</strong>ion’s continued<br />
presence <strong>at</strong> the <strong>University</strong> is potentially<br />
dangerous to the health, safety,<br />
and educ<strong>at</strong>ional environment <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>University</strong> community.<br />
5.03:52 Sexual misconduct, sexual assault,<br />
sexual harassment as defined in the<br />
<strong>University</strong> Policies section (Chapter 4) <strong>of</strong><br />
the Student Policy Manual.<br />
5.03:53 Cyberstalking:<br />
1. Use in electronic mail or electronic<br />
communic<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> any words or<br />
language thre<strong>at</strong>ening to inflict bodily<br />
harm to any person or to such<br />
person's child, sibling, spouse, or<br />
dependent, or physical injury to the<br />
property <strong>of</strong> any person, or for the<br />
purpose <strong>of</strong> extorting money or other<br />
things <strong>of</strong> value from any person.
