1011. BASIC LEADERSHIP LAB I. 1 cr. Practical labor<strong>at</strong>ory <strong>of</strong><br />
applied leadership and tactical skills taken with MILS 1010.<br />
Activities include basic drill, land navig<strong>at</strong>ion, physical fitness,<br />
communic<strong>at</strong>ions, basic rifle marksmanship, and rappelling.<br />
1012. LEARNING TO LEAD. 1 cr. Introduction to the Army<br />
fundamentals <strong>of</strong> leadership and first aid.<br />

1013. BASIC LEADERSHIP LAB II. 1 cr. Practical labor<strong>at</strong>ory <strong>of</strong> applied<br />
leadership and tactical skills taken with MILS 1012. Activities<br />
include rifle marksmanship, first aid, rope crafts, physical<br />
conditioning, individual tactical skills, and team development<br />
skills.<br />
2010. APPLIED LEADERSHIP. 2 cr. The study <strong>of</strong> leadership principles<br />
and fundamentals, team development, and tactical skills.<br />

2011. BASIC LEADERSHIP LAB III. 1 cr. Practical labor<strong>at</strong>ory <strong>of</strong><br />
leadership skills to develop individual skills and develop<br />
individuals as part <strong>of</strong> an effective team. Activities include<br />
advanced drill, military tactics, communic<strong>at</strong>ions, land navig<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />
and basic rifle marksmanship.<br />
2012. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. 2 cr. The study <strong>of</strong> land<br />
navig<strong>at</strong>ion, individual tactical skills, and communic<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />
Registr<strong>at</strong>ion in MILS 2011 required.<br />
2013. BASIC LEADERSHIP LAB IV. 1 cr. A practical labor<strong>at</strong>ory<br />
<strong>of</strong> applied leadership and military skills to accompany MILS<br />
2012. Activities include rifle marksmanship, first aid, rope<br />
crafts, physical conditioning, individual tactical skills, and team<br />
development.<br />
2014. CAMP CHALLENGE. 6 cr. A six-week summer camp conducted<br />
<strong>at</strong> an Army post. Provides the student with core training allowing<br />
placement into the 3000/4000 level courses. Non-oblig<strong>at</strong>ory.<br />
Open to students who have not taken all four <strong>of</strong> MILS 1010,<br />
1012, 2010, and 2012 classes, and who pass a physical<br />
examin<strong>at</strong>ion paid for by ROTC. Prerequisite: Approval <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Military Science and completion <strong>of</strong> a minimum <strong>of</strong><br />
57 credit hours. To receive credit, the student must enroll in a<br />
summer term prior to departure for camp.<br />
3010. LEADERSHIP TACTICS. 3 cr. Military leadership principles, land<br />
navig<strong>at</strong>ion, small unit tactics, and physical training. Registr<strong>at</strong>ion in<br />
MILS 3011 required.<br />
3011. ADVANCED LEADERSHIP LAB I. 1 cr. Labor<strong>at</strong>ory course<br />
to accompany MILS 3010. A practical labor<strong>at</strong>ory <strong>of</strong> applied<br />
leadership th<strong>at</strong> is planned and executed by the MS IV cadets.<br />
Activities include drill and ceremonies, land navig<strong>at</strong>ion, rappelling,<br />
rifle marksmanship, tactics, first aid, w<strong>at</strong>er survival, physical<br />
conditioning, and communic<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />
3012. LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT. 3 cr. Military principles,<br />
small unit tactics, tactical communic<strong>at</strong>ions and physical training.<br />
Includes particip<strong>at</strong>ion in a three-day field training exercise.<br />
Registr<strong>at</strong>ion in MILS 3013 required.<br />
3013. ADVANCED LEADERSHIP LAB II. 1 cr. Labor<strong>at</strong>ory course<br />
to accompany MILS 3012. A practical labor<strong>at</strong>ory <strong>of</strong> applied<br />
leadership th<strong>at</strong> is planned and executed by the MS IV cadets.<br />
Activities include drill and ceremonies, land navig<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />
rifle marksmanship, tactics, physical conditioning, and<br />
communic<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />
3014. ROTC ADVANCED CAMP. 3 cr. Five weeks <strong>of</strong> intensified<br />
instruction and practical exercise in tactics, leadership, and<br />
weapons conducted <strong>at</strong> an Army post under the control <strong>of</strong> ROTC<br />
instructor personnel. Prerequisites: MILS 3010 and 3012. To<br />
receive credit for 3014, the student must enroll in the second<br />
summer session prior to departure for camp.<br />
4010. ADVANCED LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT. 3 cr. Study<br />
<strong>of</strong> command and staff activities, customs and courtesies, ethics,<br />
pl<strong>at</strong>oon oper<strong>at</strong>ions, oral present<strong>at</strong>ion techniques, and counseling.<br />
4011. ADVANCED LEADERSHIP LAB III. 1 cr. Labor<strong>at</strong>ory course<br />
to accompany MILS 4010. A practical labor<strong>at</strong>ory <strong>of</strong> applied<br />
