2012-2013 UNDERGRADUATE CATALOG<br />
ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS. The ULM Department<br />
<strong>of</strong> Athletics awards scholarships based on <strong>at</strong>hletic ability,<br />
which is evalu<strong>at</strong>ed by Department <strong>of</strong> Athletics personnel.<br />
In addition to possessing <strong>at</strong>hletic ability, a student who<br />
receives an <strong>at</strong>hletic scholarship must (a) meet the<br />
academic requirements for initial and/or continuing<br />
enrollment <strong>at</strong> ULM, (b) meet NCAA requirements for<br />
receipt <strong>of</strong> initial and/or continuing <strong>at</strong>hletic scholarship, and<br />
(c) enroll as a full-time student.<br />
STATE AND FEDERAL SCHOLARSHIPS<br />
LOUISIANA’S TUITION OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM<br />
FOR STUDENTS, “TOPS”. This plan is a tuition<br />
entitlement based on academic standards. For more<br />
inform<strong>at</strong>ion call the <strong>Louisiana</strong> Office <strong>of</strong> Student Financial<br />
Assistance <strong>at</strong> 1-800-259-5626 ext. 1012. To apply for<br />
“TOPS”, you must annually submit a Free Applic<strong>at</strong>ion for<br />
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).<br />
ROCKEFELLER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. This<br />
scholarship program awards scholarships to out standing<br />
students majoring in Wildlife, Forestry and/or Marine<br />
Sciences. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA. The amount<br />
<strong>of</strong> the scholarship is $1,000 per academic year.<br />
