most common mistakes I see REIA groups make. Most REIA
owners fail to promote anything that took place at the meeting,
leaving money on the table by neglecting continued sales. In this
chapter, I will explain exactly what to do after the event to
maximize the value of your speaker.
Updating The Website
Remember, your REIA group's website is the most powerful
promotional tool you have. All of your other promotional efforts
will link back to this site. You should think of it as a valueincreasing
asset. Every time your group does something, you should
mention it on the website. This creates an impression of the group as
an active, exciting collection of like-minded people. Remember, no
one wants to come back and visit your site if it hasn't been updated
in three months.
One of the best things you can do is include plenty of information
about recent events. Whenever you hold an event of any kind, you
should have at least one person taking professional quality photos. It
doesn't have to be a pro photographer. Obviously, the better the
pictures look, the more professional your group will look, but any
pictures look better than no pictures. They paint a great picture to
