A well-run <strong>REIA</strong> group's reputation will become well known among<br />
speakers. A poorly run <strong>REIA</strong> group’s reputation will also become<br />
well known among speakers. Whether your reputation is known as<br />
good or bad is entirely up <strong>to</strong> you. If everything was handled poorly,<br />
your group will have a very hard time pulling in high quality<br />
speakers in the future. Paying on time and organizing everything in<br />
a professional manner, on the other hand, will actually make it<br />
incredibly easy <strong>to</strong> book even the most popular speakers. As a matter<br />
of fact, you may even find them calling you!<br />
Do You Have What It Takes?<br />
By now, it's our hope that this book has given you more than just a<br />
few suggestions on how <strong>to</strong> run a highly profitable, highly successful<br />
and well-respected organization. All of the suggestions provided<br />
work, and all of them have been compiled entirely based on real<br />
world experience. That being said, it's easy <strong>to</strong> sit in your La-Z-Boy<br />
recliner and read a book about what <strong>to</strong> do, it's quite another thing <strong>to</strong><br />
put these suggestions <strong>to</strong> work. Out in the real world, there's no way<br />
<strong>to</strong> predict what might go wrong. It can also be just as hard <strong>to</strong> predict<br />
what will be incredibly effective.<br />
Because of this, I want <strong>to</strong> encourage you <strong>to</strong> set aside your<br />
preconceived beliefs about what you think will or will not work<br />
based on what we've covered in this book, and just get out there and<br />
have the guts <strong>to</strong> try it. If you prove us wrong, we'd love <strong>to</strong> hear<br />
about it, but what we've shared with you is time-tested and has been<br />
proven <strong>to</strong> work at many of the largest associations across the<br />
country. The bot<strong>to</strong>m line is, it all works. But the truth is, it's unlikely<br />
that you're going <strong>to</strong> implement all of it overnight. Pick one thing at a<br />
time. Don't allow yourself <strong>to</strong> get overwhelmed. And when you<br />
check each new thing off your list, be sure have the next thing you're<br />
planning on implementing on the radar and goal list. One of the<br />
biggest keys <strong>to</strong> running a successful organization is constant and<br />
never-ending improvement. If you welcome this, you'll experience<br />
all of the rewards that come with maintaining and growing a <strong>REIA</strong>.<br />
