A well-run REIA group's reputation will become well known among
speakers. A poorly run REIA group’s reputation will also become
well known among speakers. Whether your reputation is known as
good or bad is entirely up to you. If everything was handled poorly,
your group will have a very hard time pulling in high quality
speakers in the future. Paying on time and organizing everything in
a professional manner, on the other hand, will actually make it
incredibly easy to book even the most popular speakers. As a matter
of fact, you may even find them calling you!
Do You Have What It Takes?
By now, it's our hope that this book has given you more than just a
few suggestions on how to run a highly profitable, highly successful
and well-respected organization. All of the suggestions provided
work, and all of them have been compiled entirely based on real
world experience. That being said, it's easy to sit in your La-Z-Boy
recliner and read a book about what to do, it's quite another thing to
put these suggestions to work. Out in the real world, there's no way
to predict what might go wrong. It can also be just as hard to predict
what will be incredibly effective.
Because of this, I want to encourage you to set aside your
preconceived beliefs about what you think will or will not work
based on what we've covered in this book, and just get out there and
have the guts to try it. If you prove us wrong, we'd love to hear
about it, but what we've shared with you is time-tested and has been
proven to work at many of the largest associations across the
country. The bottom line is, it all works. But the truth is, it's unlikely
that you're going to implement all of it overnight. Pick one thing at a
time. Don't allow yourself to get overwhelmed. And when you
check each new thing off your list, be sure have the next thing you're
planning on implementing on the radar and goal list. One of the
biggest keys to running a successful organization is constant and
never-ending improvement. If you welcome this, you'll experience
