of the other REIAs in your area are doing this. It's just one more
thing that sets you apart from other REIAs in your area.
Who Should Follow Up?
There are a couple of options when it comes to follow-up calls. If
time is your biggest enemy, you don't always need to do the calling
yourself. Many groups will choose to do it themselves, and if you're
going to go this route, I would suggest having prominent members
of the group do it. If the person making the calls was also one of the
people on stage during the event, they will have a much easier time
pulling in additional sales. The person they call will be impressed
that someone who was on stage took the time to personally call
them.
This is a special, personal touch that people will not usually expect.
Most people are used to dealing with faceless corporations who
utilize call centers staffed with people who could care less. When
they receive a phone call from one of the biggest members of your
group, however, they can't help but take notice. They aren't used to
this level of personal interaction and it will really stick with them.
attendance list may include hundreds of people and the group
leaders simply don't have the time to personally call each person.
Fortunately, some speakers will offer to handle the follow up for
you.
I actually have a dedicated team of people in my office in Lake
Wylie, SC who handle this process. There have been plenty of cases
where the REIA group leaders asked for my help to take care of
following up with the attendees. In this case, I'll utilize my trained
staff whose job it is to call up each and every person, talk to them
about the event, then help them get started with the product they
purchased and to close sales to the ones that didn’t purchase at the
