This disease produces symptoms on the leaves, young shoots and fruit. The young leaves may<br />

become entirely coated with a thick layer <strong>of</strong> the fungus, causing them to curl and become narrow<br />

as they expand. The white fungus powdery layer may extend over the entire terminal portion<br />

<strong>of</strong> the growing shoot. On the fruit, the disease first appears in the form <strong>of</strong> white round spots<br />

which increase in size until the whole surface <strong>of</strong> the fruit is involved. The fruit takes on a pinkish<br />

color, which later turns to a dark brown. Sometimes fruit cracking occurs to render it worthless.<br />

Le fructo deveni rosee e plus tarde brun obscur. A vices le fructo se finde e perde su valor<br />

economic.<br />

Les sympt~mes de cette mal-4die se montrent sur les feuilles, les jeunes pousses et le frAt. Les<br />

jeunes feuitles peuvent (tre couvertes enti~rement d'une 4paisse couche du champigncn qui les<br />

fait s'enrouler et se r~tr~cir h mesure qu'elles croissent. La couche poudreuse de champignon<br />

blanc peu gagner toute le partie sup4rieure de la pousse. Sur le fruit, la maladie paralt<br />

d'abord sous forme de taches blanches, circulaires, qui s'agrandissent jusqu'a recouvrir<br />

tout le fruit. Le fruit devient ros~tre, puis brun fonce. Parfois le fruit se fendille et perd<br />

toute valeur.<br />

Esta enfermedad produce sfntomas en las hojas, brotes j6venes y frutos. Las hojas j6venes<br />

peudenvolverse enteramentecubiertas con una gruesa capadel hongo, causando que 6stas se encrespen<br />

y se vuelvan delgadas a medida que se expanden. La capa polvorienta y blanca del<br />

hongo peude extenderse sobre toda la porci6n terminal del brote en crecimiento. En el fruto la<br />

enfermedad aparece primero en forma de manchas blanchas y redondas, las cutles aumentan<br />

de tamafio hasta que toda la superficie del fruto estA cubierta. El fruto adquiere un color rosadoso,<br />

el cui1 m~s tarde se vuelve caf4 obseuro. Algunas veces el fruto se raja, inutilizindolo.<br />
