This disease appears at any time in the life of the plant, In storage, during transportation as
well as in the field. The most common symptom is the dark green or black smudge on the bulb
or neck. The black discoloration follows the veins of the scales or crosses the veins transversely,
beginning a narrow zone of discoloration around the bulb. In a severe attack the fungus
grows through the outer dry scales into the living tissue, causing a collapse of the fleshy
scales.
Iste morbo se manifesta per tote le stadios del vita de plantas, o conservate in magasinage, o
durante le transportation, o in le campo. Le symptoma le plus commun es un tinta obscur,
verde o nigre, in le bulbo o in le collo. Le discoloration nigre seque o transversa le venas
del scalias; e un zona restricte de discoloration comencia evolver circum le bulbo. In un attacco
sever, le fungo, penetrante le exterior scalias desiccate, infecta le texito vivente e causa le
collapso del scalias carnose.
