L’Ing. Jan Nilsson ha conseguito il BSEE in<br />
Ingegneria Elettronica nel 1977 presso l’Engineering<br />
College di Copenhagen (Københavns<br />
Teknikum), Denmark, con la specialità di<br />
Bioingegneria (Biomedical Engineering).<br />
Dal 1977 al 1982 è stato “Research Assistant”<br />
presso il laboratorio di ricerca del Professor<br />
Fritz Buchthal, Neuromuscular Research Laboratory, University<br />
Hospital (Rigshospitalet) di Copenhagen (“postgraduation<br />
training” nella neurofisiologia clinica).<br />
Dal 1982 al 1983 è stato “Visiting Guest Worker” al National<br />
Institute of Neurological and Communicative Disorders and<br />
Stroke (NINCDS), Laboratory of Electromyography, National<br />
Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD, USA.<br />
Dal 1983 al 1988 è stato “Visiting Associate” presso il Medical<br />
Neurology Branch and the Human Motor Control Section,<br />
NINCDS, NIH, Bethsda, MD, USA.<br />
Dal 1988 al 1991 è stato Bioingegnere presso l’Istituto Scientifico<br />
di Campoli Monte Taburno (BN) della <strong>Fondazione</strong> <strong>Salvatore</strong><br />
<strong>Maugeri</strong>, IRCCS.<br />
Attualmente è in ruolo presso i servizi di Bioingegneria della<br />
<strong>Fondazione</strong> <strong>Salvatore</strong> <strong>Maugeri</strong>, IRCCS, di Pavia e di Castel<br />
Goffredo (MN). Nell’ambito di questa esperienza si è interessato<br />
di stimolazione magnetica sia per quanto riguarda la valutazione<br />
che il trattamento, di analisi quantitativa del segnale<br />
elettromiografico e di studio dell’affaticamento muscolare.<br />
Ing. Nilsson è autore di 39 pubblicazioni, di cui 26 lavori in extenso<br />
su riviste internazionali indicizzate (Impact factor globale:<br />
65.9); e numerose presentazioni a convegni e corsi sia a<br />
livello nazionale che internazionale.<br />
È membro della Institutes of Electrical and Electronic Engineers<br />
(IEEE) e della IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology<br />
Society - EMBS (Membro: 1982 - Membro Senior: 1995).<br />
