2. Establish and maintain a program in your<br />

business to ensure compliance with and<br />

prevent and detect violations of this management<br />

procedure. The program should<br />

implement monitoring and auditing<br />

systems, including review of all marketing<br />

materials, to detect and prevent violations<br />

of and ensure compliance with this<br />

• implement training programs enabling<br />

employees to understand and comply<br />

with the requirements of this procedure<br />

3. Obtain approval of the Chairman or his<br />

B. Ownership and use<br />

<strong>GE</strong> Identity Program 123, Trade Names, Trademarks, & the <strong>GE</strong> Identity Program <strong>GE</strong> Identity Website: www.ge.com/identity<br />

123.05<br />

1. Ensure that all registrations of primary<br />

<strong>GE</strong> trademarks, communicative trade<br />

names, and domain names that include the<br />

<strong>GE</strong> communicative trade names or primary<br />

or secondary <strong>GE</strong> trademarks are<br />

• owned by General Electric Company<br />

• procured by, through, or at the direction<br />

of Corporate Trademark Counsel<br />

2. Ensure that all registrations of secondary<br />

trademarks are owned by the appropriate<br />

<strong>GE</strong> business.<br />

3. Ensure that your business component<br />

identifies new products with the primary<br />

<strong>GE</strong> trademarks and <strong>GE</strong> graphic system only<br />

after obtaining the approvals required in<br />

Appendix A.<br />

4. Throughout the world, be consistent<br />

in using the<br />

• <strong>GE</strong> communicative trade names and<br />

<strong>GE</strong> graphic system when identifying<br />

- <strong>GE</strong> business components<br />

- the affiliates in which the Company<br />

has a controlling interest<br />

• primary <strong>GE</strong> trademarks and <strong>GE</strong> graphic<br />

system to identify the <strong>GE</strong> brand of<br />

products and services<br />

5. Comply with this procedure as well as the<br />

procedures and practices prescribed by<br />

<strong>GE</strong> Identity Program Standards & Guidelines.<br />

C. Quality<br />

Ensure that <strong>GE</strong> quality standards are met<br />

in manufacturing and marketing any product<br />

under the <strong>GE</strong> brand.<br />
