The message contained in the signature typography<br />

is referred to as the signature content.<br />

In the <strong>GE</strong> Identity Program, the signature content<br />

varies. Depending on the kind of media used and<br />

the requirements of a specific application, signatures<br />

may be created to convey specific messages.<br />

In advertising, for example, each industrial<br />

component uses a signature containing its specific<br />

communicative name (along with the <strong>GE</strong> slogan,<br />

“We bring good things to life.”). When consistently<br />

implemented throughout the Company’s<br />

communications, such signatures help define the<br />

Company’s rich diversity, thereby furthering one<br />

of the goals of the <strong>GE</strong> Identity Program.<br />

The following pages present examples of<br />

typical graphic signatures recommended for use<br />

in specific media.
